Stop comparing yourself and my current yoga essentials.

Why is her hair so much shinier than mine? Why does he earn much more money than myself? Why is she more successful than me? Why is her body so much nicer than mine?
The habit of comparing yourself is super common and its nothing more but fucking annoying. (This is a sponsored post)

I am one of these people, who constantly compare themselves. I don't like it, I don't want to do it, but it just happens. We live in such a competitive world, where its all about going faster, being better,  being more efficient. It can honestly drive yourself crazy.
The worst is, when you can't even be celebrating your own progress, because it's being overshadowed by other people's success. Suddenly what you are doing is not important anymore and not worth anything at all.
I am working on not comparing myself right now and wanted to share my tips with you:

1. Focus on yourself.

That may sound obvious, but it is the first thing you need to be doing. It's your life, your body and your own mind that tricks you into negative thoughts. But on the other hand, you are in control of your own success and your own happiness. If you fuel yourself with good food, positive thoughts and inspiring ideas, you will glow from the inside out and not really care about what everyone else is doing right now.

2. Success is not exclusive.

Just because someone else is super pretty, successful, has the most amazing body and the greatest relationship, doesn't mean that you can't have all of that at the same time. We need to realize, that we don't have to put other people down, who already reached that point we aspire to be at. We can actually celebrate their success with them, be happy for them and learn from them. We can grow together, support each other and make each other stronger. I really want to support Kim for example, who I just met last week and who took all these beautiful images for this blogpost. She is a talented photographer from Germany, who you should definitely check out. She is not only really professional in her work, but also just super sweet.

3. Tame your ego.

I used to be super competitive. If you challenged me, you better bet I'd do anything to win.  But that might not always be the right thing to do. That is why I would suggest - you guessed it - YOGA. I am telling you, it is my answer to everything. But it truly is amazing. Yoga is a journey with your own mind and body. It doesn't matter, what anyone else is doing, it is not competitive and anything that feels good is perfectly fine. Yoga is for anyone, it is super inclusive and it is calming the spirit.
On that note I want to share my current yoga essentials to make it easier for you to start your own yoga journey.

My yoga essentials

The most important thing is a good yoga mat. Right now I am using the mats by Matilicious. They are also totally about focusing on yourself and embracing your uniqueness. Their mats are made of biodegradable natural rubber, combined with a thin microfibre surface. They are free of phthalates and other toxins commonly found in plastic or foam mats. So they make you feel at ease on the mat and let you have the best practice ever. I actually teamed up with them for this post and was able to organize a discount for you. With using the code "hannah" you can get 10€ off your own mat. I think it's important to invest in a quality mat that will last you a long time and i really love the smooth texture of them as well.
Then the yoga clothing is a huge thing as well. Basically anything you feel confident in is perfect. On the pictures I am wearing a fair trade outfit. The shirt is by Obomi and the pants are by a local balinese store. Essential oils are yoga essentials to me as well. I love using them for savasana or just as a room scent to set the mood. My favorites are lavendar or rose. Last but not least i have to add yogic tea to the list. Especially in winter I am a huge tea person and after my daily yoga flow I have at least one cup of herbal tea. Either something soothing to keep me relaxed, or something energizing to feel productive right away.

Thank you to Matilicious for sponsoring this post.
Let me know your yoga essentials.

      Hab wundervolle Weihnachten, Hannah!
      vielleicht wird alles vielleichter
