Today my boyfriend and I tried "Funk you - natural food" for the first time.

"We love to give more than just food to urban people in their daily lifes. We want to give you energy and power with excellent flavors and combinations." That is what they say about themselves and we wanted to see, if that was actually true.

The interior is super cute. Really minimal but with loads of plants everywhere. Perfect for an adorable insta-shot. You will find some cozy seating areas with retro chairs, some smaller regular tables or you could choose to sit on barstools and look outside the window. I personally fell in love with their counter. The white tiles in combination with the brick and huge slate menu on the wall just made me love the place already.

Because we came for breakfast, we tried some of their typical breakfast options first. Avocado on Toast with poached eggs and an acaibowl. Everything you will find at FunkYou is totally healthy, freshly made and can be adjusted according to your dietary needs and intolerances. It is also a paradies for vegans, since most of the options are dairyfree anyway.
We shared everything and really loved it. Not only are all dishes prepared with love and really pleasing to look at, but taste amazing as well.

As a second course we went for the two sandwich options they offer (vegetarian). The crispy warm bread together with the fresh juicy fillings were super tasty. I also love how you can watch the staff actually prepare everything in front of your eyes. They are super kind and will assist you with everything you may need.

I would suggest anyone to give funk you a try. You will get: a pretty cafe, some relaxed atmosphere and good healthy food, that won't give you the annoying food coma, but will leave you feel energized and pumped for the day.
