How to clean your mindset.

True wealth is having a healthy mind, body, and spirit. True wealth is having the knowledge to maneuver and navigate the mental obstacles that inhibit your ability to soar.

Today I want to give you some tips, that I use, to have a healthy and fresh mind every day. Most of the time, we focus so much on our outer appearance, that we totally forget to care for our inside as well. In my opinion a healthy mind is the most important foundation for a happy life. And don't get me wrong: I am not this perfect - always happy and positive - girl. No way! 
Sometimes I just cry and have fucking horrible thoughts, that can ruin an entire day or week...but it's always important to pick yourself up again and keep on doing what you love and what makes you feel good. It's up to you today to start making healthy choices. Not choices, that are just healthy for your body, but healthy for your mind. 

How to clean your mind:

1. Go outside.

"Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it's at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored." Earl Nightingale
I find going outside really beneficial, when I am feeling down. Especially when I am able to connect with nature. Living in busy Berlin, this is obviously quite a challenge. But even a little park does the job.  Just taking in some fresh air and focusing on the beauty of mother nature always calms me down and unite with this amazing planet.

2. Read a book.

I couldn't agree more with these words. I am realizing that in the world we are living in, everything tends to get more and more digitalized and the magic of books is kind of dying. But there is something so special about reading an actual proper book. Weather it is to educate yourself, or just for pure entertainment - it gives you the option to escape into another world for a minute. To get away from your own reality and dive into a imaginary world full of wonders. 

3. Eat fresh food.

Blablabla eat healthy - be healthy. You have probably heard that a trillion times. But it is true. Food is basically just used to give us energy. But you won't get your best energy out of canned or prepackaged fastfood. I think it is stupid to restrict ourselves from certain foods, but a good balance is important. If you are a lazy bugger like me and you live in Berlin as well, i have the perfect solution for you to get your vitamins in: The fruitbox. I have already posted about them last year (here) and i am still super impressed with the beautiful fresh fruits they will deliver to your door, so you won't even have to go to a market and look for it. Also it is always a small surprise what you will get exactly, so you might try fruits you have never eaten before.

4. Do Yoga, meditate or generally reflect on your life.

Meditation is super important to me. I love doing yoga and meditation combined and just sit down in my room and breathe. Maybe stretch a little and let go of all my worries. I think it's important to make yourself aware of how lucky you actually are. Sure, there are a ton of issues we all have to concur every single day, but in general we live an amazing life. We are healthy, we can eat breathe, dance, sing, travel, live. We have family and friends, we can make our own decisions, we have a bed and a place to stay at. We are fucking lucky. Just reminding myself of all these facts makes me really happy. 
If you are not that spiritual and meditation just makes you go crazy, then try journaling and writing about your problems. It is amazing how easy you can let go of things, once you have written them down.

5. Treat yourself.

It is super important to treat yourself. Appreciate what you have and be good to your soul and body. Maybe buy yourself a pretty dress, that you have always wanted, take a bubble bath with a glass of wine, splurge on a delicious meal or just take time out to meet your closest friends. All of that is balm four your soul, will relief stress and balance your whole mindset.
