Eating in Berlin: Beets & roots

What: Beets&roors
Where: Große Hamburger Str. 38 - 10115 Berlin-Mitte

A few days ago I tried the food at Beets&roots for the first time with my dear friend Marah. They call themselves "a new fast-casual restaurant that offers veggie focused bowls, salads and wraps." We were really intrigued and so we had to pop in. The little restaurant feels more like a relaxing bar, than a healthy restaurant. The blue and pink lights with a mix of wood, stone and concrete send some strong urban vibes. In between the modern seating areas, you will find a lot of green plants to break up the structure.

We arrived at 1pm, which seems to be the busiest time at Beets&roots. A lot of people take advantage of their takeaway service, but we managed to squeeze through and snatch a table. It was so fun to watch, how fast everything works at Beets&roots. There was a foodora-man coming in every now and then, picking up fresh orders, new people coming in and happily leaving the restaurant with their take-away-food within minutes. Just insane, what a good team can do.

Marah and I were super hungry, so we each got some huge bowls filled with veggie goodness. I had the bowl of the month: "The indian bowl" and Marah had "The oriental bowl". Both looked and tasted amazing and came in 3 minutes after ordering them. JUST CRAZY! Along with that we had some yummy adorable little juices out of their big fridge with different drinks they offer.
They focus on freshly made food, that is produced in their big kitchen directly at the restaurant and also on speed. And they definitely hit the spot with that!

For dessert we had some delicious cinnamon roll. They get all their desserts from ZeitfürBrot, which is a great bakery also from Berlin. It was just perfect. Together with some lovely cappuccino it was just the right way to end our fun lunch. I honestly don't know a reason, why you shouldn't check Beets&roots out for yourself one day.
