Eating in Amsterdam: Lotti's

This is the second part of my "Eating out in Amsterdam"-recommendations. If you want to read about SLA click here. Today I will tell you all about the absolutely stunning restaurant Lotti's Diner.

Where: Herengracht 255 - 1016 BJ, Amsterdam

Lotti’s is a café, bar and grill on Amsterdam’s Herengracht canal, open from early morning until late at night. You might not find it at first, because it is part of the Hoxton Hotel and a bit hidden from the usual touristy streets, but still extremely central.

The all-day restaurant serves grilled meats, seafood, pasta and small plates, in addition to a wide choice of breakfast dishes and a weekend brunch menu. The bar menu offers Double Dutch cocktails, tonics and beers on draft.
When we first got in I was totally overwhelmed by the amaaaazing interior. I would totally decorate my living room like that.  The massive loft is very bright, due to the white tiled walls, but really cozy at the same time, due to a massive selection of different accent chairs. It has an open kitchen and feels really stylish and classy, as well as cozy and relaxed at the same time. The staff is super professional and really friendly.

Right when we sat down, we were offered a freshly pressed juice. (Till had orange-juice and I went for carrot-juice.)
So we could drink our "fruity goodness", while we were studying the menu. Because we went on a Sunday, we could choose from the awesome weekend brunch-menu.
Till chose the "Flat iron steak and mac". It is a 3 hour braised steak served with sharp cheddar macaroni & cheese.  He absolutely loved it and couldn't stop praising, how soft the meat was.
I had the yummy caesar salad with baby romaine, croutons, butter milk dressing and parmigiano.: Also absolutely delicious.

Our dessert was a homemade blueberry muffin for me and some chocolate sorbet for Till.

We spent quite some time at Lotti's. You feel so welcome and cozy sitting in the soft chairs, listening to the soft background music. I would definitely recommend anyone to check it out. Either for the yummy food or even just for a drink at the bar.

Namaste,
Hannah
