Eating in Berlin: Kaffee Käthe

What: Kaffee Käthe
Where: Kollwitzstraße 38, 10405 Berlin

The other day my friend Lea and I visited the adorable Cafe: "Kaffee Käthe".  The cozy cafe is located in Prenzlauer Berg, a family friendly area of Berlin and is run by a super friendly, young staff with russian roots.
I am telling you - their interior will make you feel just like you are sitting in you own living room. So extremely cozy. They had everything decorated in time for the holidays as well. Even a lovely sparkly christmas tree was set up in the center of the main room. Cozy chairs, little decorations and ornaments here and there were added to complete the look.
Me being the typography-fan i am, was also really impressed by the hand lettering on huge slates, showing you the coffee menu. The whole styling of the room makes you feel really relaxed, comfortable and welcome.

Apart from their signature breakfast menu, they also offer delicious cream soups and a collection of marvellous fresh juices. Of course we had to dig into those. So Lea and I shared a yummy soup and some vegetarian scrambled eggs with homemade pesto. You can really taste the love and dedication that goes into preparing each single meal. Everything is completely homemade and fresh. The juices rounded everything up perfectly and really fueled us with all needed vitamins.

Of course we craved something sweet afterwards and we couldn't say no to those yummy cakes on display. The selection of desserts is renewed on a daily basis. So we had a delicious and super filling cheesecake and a fruity rhubarb crumble. To go with that we had some great coffee. Kaffee Käthe actually picked a unique coffee blend from Guatemala. They brew coffee with care, maintaining high quality control.

All in all we got to spend an amazing delicious afternoon at Kaffee Käthe and I would totally recommend anyone to check it out. And hurry up so you can experience the holiday spirit with the christmassy decoration for yourself.

Namaste,
Hannah
