Yoga, Peace and Meditation.

All about my lovely yoga and meditation session at YourSpaceBerlin the other day.


Yoga is not about touching your toes, it's about what you learn on the way down.

I absolutely love yoga and exploring new yoga communities and classes. Here in Berlin you have a ton of different studios to choose from, depending on what you want to go for. 

Your Space is Berlin’s playground (community space) for inspiration, creativity and shared wisdom. They host classes and workshops in meditation, yoga, body activation, breath work, astrology as well as events for innovative knowledge exchange, exhibitions and performances to create holistic experiences for you and your tribe. 

"Let’s live, laugh and celebrate life together." 

That is what it says on their website. And that is exactly the vibe they transmit in their sessions. 

The studio is located in Prenzlauer Berg (Prenzlauer Allee 26 10405 Berlin) but it's a bit tricky to find. You may think you are at the wrong spot, when you wriggle yourself through a house with loads of graffiti and a ton of construction workers into the tiny backyard, where YourSpace is actually located.
The room has an industrial, minimalistic vibe. It used to be an old atelier hence the huge windows and the loft-like atmosphere. It's also surprisingly quiet, considering the hectic central location.

Although the actual space is simple and clean, there are lots of little cute decor items placed around the room. Most of them are either crystals, cacti or souvenirs brought over from Mexico.












When I got there, i smelled in-scents and heard a lovely mantra meditation music in the background. I was welcomed by Sophie and Michaela, who were teaching yoga and meditation on that day. They are inspiring human beings. You can really feel the positive energy that surrounds them.
The yoga class was awesome and a great mix between poses I love doing regularly and completely new stretches.
And the meditation was a total new experience. I have never attended a guided meditation class before in a group and it was crazy how deep I actually fell into it. It's such an indescribable feeling to be able to just - well - let go. Letting go of worries, of stress, of all these crazy thoughts you have every day. 
Afterwards we all chatted for a bit with some hot tea and some tarot cards to gaze a bit into the future. I find it so interesting to engage with people, who also have a spiritual side to them, like me. 



What I like about YourSpace is the feeling you get, once you enter the "Space". It's so welcoming and accepting. You can be, who you are and just let go and relax. It doesn't matter, if you are a total Yoga-pro or you have never tried to meditate before. They will be happy to have you there and share some positivity. You will leave with a big smile on your face.
